TRACK SESSION subtitles

Today's MondaySeptember the 7th, which means the hunting season for elk has begun. We're about to go on a shorter jog, just to warm up before the strength training.Hopefully we don't upset the hunters. They should be done for the day.Gracious!HereWe're too short to vault that fenceThere1 hour warm up done, next up are some elasticity and strength exercises. Now we're headed to the garage, I've actually already completed the elasticity ones.Only the strength training left! You call that a warm up?Today I'm doing skate intervalsOn the track.I had initially planned to head to "Ove berget"But it's not viable without a ride. And today's Wednesday, which means Emily left for Umeå earlier.Which makes it difficult to stick to that plan. But the track should do just fine.So I'll do that today.I'm going to stay for one more day before I too head to Umeå.Here's the mushroom, which is drying out good.PerfectNice weather too! There we go, done with that session.I was feeling kind of rough today, but..It wasn't too bad. That will happen this time of year, when your body is under heavy load. The shape will vary. The important thing is to stay focused on the task at hand and keep going.Awesome!Always appreciate being done with a tough interval session. Now I'm going to wind down for a bit and later in the afternoon I'll have myself a lighter recovery session.I'll probably go for a bike ride. We're in Umeå.I probably should lock the car, now that we're in the city.ThursdayI'm planning on staying for just over a weekCheck this outTaco timeYummy!I'm hungryYou didn't make a stop on your way here?Yeah I did.I had a hot dog and some ice cream in Stugun. In Stugun? And coffee too.I see(inaudible)At least we've gone in the right directionBut his won't work.NopeDamn.This is your fault.Let's turn around.Wait, hold on a minute, I think we can make it.I know the way, you just tricked me onto some other pathHave a look hereWe're headed there, Biltema in ErsbodaWhich is up here. And we're down here.Yup.We need to take a right, just like we thought. This is how it's going down...If we go back a bit and take a left up on the street beside us, we can follow that one.Yeah, but we can make a shortcut through the yard.Through the hedgeHave we made it?Yeah, we finally made it.Lovely weather!I just have one question for you.How did that pine tree manage to grow there!?Explain that to me.Out of all the places to grow, this little pine tree chose to live right there, right on top of a massive rock. There's nothing else on that rockThere's some moss growth. No, barelyThat pine is just like you, a stubborn little bastard.I'd say it's somewhat unnecessaryYeah, it's not exactly the optimal place to liveI wonder what the tree was thinking when it decided to live there. That's crazy!Very fascinatingGood morning! It's Saturday and it's time for some running intervals. But before that I'll try to answer some of your questions.I decided to have a QnA on my Instagram StorySo I thought I'd answer some of them throughout the rest of the vlog.I got a lot of similar questions, about what my favourite work out is and what type of intervals i prefer.I'd say running is my preferred type of work out. Both when it comes to long-distance training and intervals. The specific type of running doesn't matter much.It just has to do with the fact that it's a flexible activity.Seeing as all you need is a pair of shoes. You can run anywhere too, whether it's in the woods, on the track or on asphalt. It doesn't make that much of a difference. So to answer your question. Running is the best form of intervals in my opinion. At least in the summer. And running in general is my favourite form of exercise. My ideal form of exercise, would be a nice long run up in the mountains.Time to get some intervals done on the track!Well done boys!We started off with 4x1000m at threshold pace. The first lap was 3:17And the other three were about 3:13-3:14.With 2 minutes of rest in between. After that we did 10x200mWith 30 seconds of restThey took us around 32 seconds. And then 4x1000m again. The lap times were 3:10...3:07, 3:06 and 2:58The last ones may have surpassed threshold speed. Not the 2.58 one at least.ToughI got a question on how many interval sessions I do each week. And the answer is 2-3.Generally i do it more frequently in the fall.Where some weeks consist of up to four interval sessions. But normally I do 2-3.A lot of you were wondering how many hours of exercise I attain each week.Which varies a lot. Some weeks, when I have a lot of longer sessionsThe number of hours will amount to about 30.Whereas weeks where I do a lot of intervals and high intesity work outs...You won't be able to exercise as much, because your body is too tired. Those weeks will only get me 15-20 hours worth of exercise.A usual week however, would be 20-25 hours. But it's very dependent on what form of exercise you do that week and the average level of intensity.A lot of running will drain your muscels more than roller skiing would. You won't be able to do as many hours running as you would on roller skis.I don't think you should fixate on the number of hours of exercise.Your focus should rather be on what your exercising consists of.But if you know you're doing a higher level of intesity, you won't be able to do 30 hour weeks. This session took me just short of 1.5hWhich obviously means it was a tough one.And you would have to do a lot of these to get 30 hours worth. The answer is that it varies heavily, depending on what type of exercise you're doing.I have 6 days of exercising each week, and almost always two sessions per day.Which gives me 12 sessions a week.I always have a rest day. That was 30 seconds. What are you doing?I'm doing motor learning. Can you do this?Of course.Hold on.ThereI've got a question for you.How did you spend the million? This is not the answer you were looking for, but I basically haven't.I'm saving. You'll buy us dinner tonight?Sure, I can do that.I actually haven't spent much at all. We're on our way getting some food.Emily forbids me from driving. You're so bad at it.It's better that the competent one is in the drivers seat.I'm not allowed to drive because I put it in neutral at crosswalks and carrefours and leave the car idling for a bit. Then she feels very ashamed of me!That's why I'm not allowed...For how long have we been a coulpe?Just over four years.4 years. And she's still ashamed of me.The next question is; What would I do if I wasn't doing this? And what will I do when my skiing career is over? It's unlear. I have a loty of thing I want to do.I'm somewhat interested in learning log-building.Something to do with construction. But I also have an idea that I'd like to study electrical engineering.I find it quite fascinating.I have a lot of ideas. But we'll see what I end up doing.Sounds good!Of course I'd like keep doing some sort of sport.I wouldn't want to give that up fully. Here's dinner.SushiI must've ordered extra. But whatever, this will do.A whole lot of food.YumThis is difficult. But I'm managing. We'll keep the QnA going in next weeks vlog. So that I can answer some more of your questions.I'm ending the vlog here.Like and subscribe, so you don't miss the next installment. We'll be in Sollefteå in the end of that one.We head there on Friday I believeIt'll be pleasant. Thanks for watching!I'll see you. Goodbye!
